Keyword Ranking Tool

Overview: Tracking vs. Suitability

The Keyword Ranking tool serves two specific purposes for your SEO strategy:

  1. Performance Tracking ("Am I winning?"): It monitors your daily position on Google to see if your SEO efforts are working.

  2. Suitability Check ("Should I target this?"): It provides data like Volume and S.D. to help you decide if a keyword is actually worth your time and effort.

Step 1: Configuration

To start tracking, you must tell the system which keywords to monitor and for which location.

  1. Select Geo Location: Choose the specific country (e.g., India, USA). A keyword might rank #1 in India but #50 in the USA.

  2. Enter Domain: Your project domain is usually auto-filled.

  3. Add Keywords:

    • Type your keywords (comma-separated).

    • Click the blue + Add keywords button.

  4. Fetch Data: Click the Fetch button (top right) to retrieve live data.

Step 2: Understanding the Dashboard

Once data is fetched, the dashboard visualizes your visibility:

  • Ranking Distribution (Donut Chart):

    • Green: Top 3 (Excellent visibility).

    • Orange: Top 10-100 (Needs improvement).

    • Red: Not Ranking (Requires significant SEO work).

  • Position Filters: Click tabs like Top 03 to instantly filter the table below to show only your winning keywords.

  • Performance Cards:

    • Average Position: The average rank of all your tracked keywords combined.

    • Traffic Forecast: Estimated monthly visitors based on your current rank.

Step 3: Detailed Keyword Table & Suitability Analysis

The bottom table is where you analyze both your performance and the keyword's value.

Column

Description

Insight / Suitability

Position

Current rank (e.g., 5).

Success Metric: If this number is dropping (e.g., from 10 to 5), your strategy is working.

Change

Movement since the last scan (e.g., +2).

Momentum: Green numbers mean you are climbing; red means you are slipping.

Vol (Volume)

Monthly searches for this term.

S.D. (SEO Difficulty)

A score (0-100) of competitiveness.

Suitability Metric:

0-30: Easy (Suits new sites).

70+: Very Hard (Only suits established sites).

Use this to decide if a keyword is "too hard" for you.

URL

The specific page ranking for the term.

Relevance: Ensure the right page is ranking for the right keyword.
