Creating a New Project

Projects are the foundation of HotspotSEO's organization system. Each project represents a website or specific section of a website you want to optimize.
Adding a New Project

To start analyzing a website, click the "Create Project" button on the dashboard. The setup is a simple linear process.

Step 1: Project Details

Define the website you want to analyse.

  • Domain or Path: Enter the specific URL (e.g., https://example.com). Recommendation: Always use the https:// version.

  • Project Name: specific name for your dashboard reference.

  • Click "Submit" or "Next" to proceed to verification.


Step 2: Ownership Verification

Once the domain is entered, you must verify ownership using one of the two available methods displayed on the screen:

  • Method A:

    Google Search Console (Recommended)

    • Select the "Google Search Console" option.

    • Click "Authorize" to connect your Google account.

    • The system will instantly verify ownership if the domain matches a property in your GSC account.

    • Benefit: Instant verification and automatic sitemap import.

  • Method B:

    Manual Verification

    • Select the "Manual" option if you don't have GSC access.

    • HTML Tag: Copy the provided meta tag <meta name="hotspot-verify" ...> and paste it into the <head> of your website's homepage.

    • DNS Record: Alternatively, add the provided TXT record to your domain's DNS settings.

    • Click "Verify" once the code is added.
