Managing Existing Projects

Project Dashboard View

Once projects are created, access them from the main dashboard:

Quick Actions

From the main dashboard list, you can perform immediate actions without opening the full report:

  • Settings (Gear Icon): Open the configuration menu to update the domain, change crawl frequency, or delete the project.

  • Keyword Ranking: Jump directly to the rank tracker for this specific site.

  • Kanban View: Go straight to the task manager to see outstanding SEO tickets.

Project Actions & Settings

To manage an existing project, navigate to your Website List or Dashboard and click the Settings (Gear Icon) or the project name. You will see the "Update a Project" screen with five key tabs:

1. Scope

  • Purpose: Edit the fundamental details of your project.

  • Fields:

    • Protocol: Switch between HTTP/HTTPS (e.g., if you installed an SSL certificate after creating the project).

    • Domain: Update the URL (e.g., changing from example.com to www.example.com).

    • Project Name: Rename the project for your internal dashboard reference.

2. Verify

  • Purpose: Check your current ownership status or re-verify a project.

  • Use Case: Use this tab if your verification failed initially or if you accidentally removed the meta tag/DNS record and need to retrieve the code again.

3. Site Audit

  • Purpose: Control the auditing engine for this specific project.

  • Actions:

    • Trigger Scan: Manually start a new audit immediately (consumes credits).

    • Schedule: Set up automated weekly or monthly crawls.

4. Uptime Monitoring

  • Purpose: Configure how we check your website's availability.

  • Settings:

    • Status: If you want to keep this feature on or off.

    • Notifications: Enable email alerts for downtime events by providing an email.

5. Delete

  • Action: Permanently remove the project and all its historical data (Audits, Uptime logs, Reports).

  • Warning: This action is irreversible. If you delete a project, you will need to re-verify it to add it back.
